Only 2 more days.

Well it’s friday and that only leaves 2 days until the Scottish games. So nervous. I hope I don’t make an ass outta myself. I hope to do well enough to want to keep doing it.

Gearing up for the Scottish Games

Well it’s getting closer. 5 days until the Scottish Games! Luke and I have been practicing so hopefuly I won’t get too embarrassed. I’m just behind him in all my throws. Maybe even a match for him in the 28# weight throw. I’m getting really excited! I just want to do well enough to make people nervious. Luke says I will be an unknown so I should have the element of suprise!

BFL has been up and down. I have only missed a few days here and there. For the most part I’ve done well. Food is my weakness and will continue to be. With Easter this last weekend I must have gained 5# easy. I’ll try to be under 254 by game time Sunday. Shouldn’t be a problem.

Time to get back to work.

Beginning week 5

I begin week 5 today. Scale said that in only 4 weeks I have lost 7lbs. Not bad considering I think I’ve gained a few pounds of muscle. I’m going to set up a dunk test for the last week of the program. I need to see if I’m actually progressing or not. I really do enjoy working out and I’m getting better about eating healthy it’s really tough but that’s what I have to do. I want to be at least into the 230’s by the end of the 12 weeks. I think that’s more than possible. 2 pounds a week would put me at 237.5lbs. That would allow me to me at my lightest weight since 2004!!! and I might be able to actually dip into the 220’s by vacation time. Man that would be awesome!!! All in all I need to keep working at it and remember, without sacrifice and dedication, nothing is possible.

End of week 4

I started out the week good. I had a few days away from followng my eating for life plan. Got a bit off track. Missed one day of cardio this week because I was injured. Yesterday and today I will work out at the 24hr fitness in my office building. It’s not a bar gym and I am considering joining. Mainly because with the start of a 4/10 work week. It’s going to be a very long day away from home. I’ll check costco because they seem to offer better deals than the gym itself.

It’s nice being able to workout at lunch again. I miss that and I think I would lose more weight that way too. BTW: I only lost .2 lbs this week. (bad eating). Still not bad though.

Week 4

So here I start week 4. When I ended week 3 I was down to 254.2 lbs. That’s a 7.3lb deficet from 3 weeks ago. Not too bad considering I screwed up a bunch. At the start of week 4 I weighed 254.6lbs. Only gained less than a half pound over my FREE day. Still not bad considering I usually gain a few pounds. I’m on track to lose close to 30 lbs at the end of my 12 week program. I need to to make that goal, for me, so I can have faith in myself again. I might be able to be in the 220’s when I head back out to NY/OH this summer.

Stress is kicking in. Work is getting scary. GM meeting tomorrow with Division meeting on Friday. Makes me nervous. Not sure how I can handle not knowing what’s going to happen. All this and my wife starting school full time in the fall. It’s going to get worse before it gets better. I just hope that my job is safe. Without that, we have nothing…

Start of week 3

Well i started out the week with a huge weight gain. 3.3 lbs from Friday morning. I just need to do my diet 7 days with no day off. I newsto be under 254 lbs by Friday. I should be able to lose 1 lbs a day.

The highland games are coming up I’m less than a month. I hope I’m ready. I have my kilt. I have my hose and all the other stuff I need to be in compliance with the rules. I hope I do well!

So we made our plans for summer vacation. June 25, 2009 -July 11, 2009. Just over 2 weeks in NY and OH. Should be fun. And Relaxing. Can’t wait!!

Time to hit the gym!!!

2nd week of new journy

It’s been to Long since I wrote anything down. I hope to do better as I see this as a place to keep me on the right track. Sort of a checks and balances thing.

I’m At the end of my second week of body for life and it’s not going very well. I can only blame myself for my melt downs.

On Tuesday I hurt my neck lifting and pinched a nerve. That’s been killing me lately. I have been eating good during day but I fell apart at night. Last night I drank a 1/2 a bottle of Irish whiskey. Then proceeded to eat a box of crackers. No idea why, I just did it. This morning I slept through my alarm so getting to the gym before work wasn’t going to happen. I’m going to have to hit the gym fast tonight because Sean has football practice. I vow to finish our the week strong. I hope to have not gained any weight. I think I might have, but I’ll check Saturday morning on that.

Day 9 - still focused just not happy.

Well after a horrible weekend I’m feeling a bit better. I just hope that I can continue through the weekend. That seems to be the hardest part, trying to get through the weekend without over eating. Its hard to think of things towrite evveryday, Hence my lack of posting. I will try harder to post every few days atleast.

Day 3 still holding strong.

Wii Weight for 01/07/09: 262.4lb

Well the weight issue is due to big dinner. Won’t happen tonight!

Meals:

  • 7:00am: 3 egg omelet with 1 slice of low fat Sharp cheddar cheese. Monster Low-carb to drink.
  • 9:00am: Fiber Oatmeal, Coffee and Chocolate Protein Powder drink. Tea to drink.
  • 11:00am: 2 sourdough pretzels and a candy cane. :(
  • 12:00pm: 3 egg omelet with 2 slices of low fat Sharp cheddar cheese.
  • 1:00pm: Hersey’s 1 bar, 1 bag of Porkskins. Water to drink.

Day 2 should be better.

Wii Weight for 01/06/09: 261.0lb

Day started out badly. Had to take Moose to the vets because the injury to his leg was getting worse. They decided to keep him overnight  while they drained the injury. They believe that it might have something with his past Hematomas. He is in the best care possible right now so all I can do is wait and see what happens.

Meals:

  • 8:00am: Syntha-6 Protein Shake
  • 9:45am: Hersey Low-Carb bar. Beef Broth to  drink
  • 12:00pm: 1-1/2 Chicken Breast with baby Brussels Sprouts. Water to drink
  • 2:30pm: Fiber Oatmeal, Coffee and Chocolate Protein Powder. Water to drink.
  • 6:45pm: Pulled Pork, Bread, Triscuits, Cereal, homemade pickles. Water to drink.

Everything went good except for dinner.  We will see what morning brings.
